Walsh Jesuit stunned Akron Hoban last week and might have legitimized itself as the team to beat in Division II in the state of Ohio. NDCL is 10th in Division IV, Region 13. Lions QB Ryan Lipowski has thrown for 927 yards and 14 touchdowns and has run for 430. Angelo Tamburrino is the team’s leading rusher, but it was Brayden Buell who had two long TD runs last week against Holy Name. Connor Hernan (17 TFLs, 11 sacks) is a hammer on defense. … Walsh Jesuit, under the guidance of head coach Nick Alexander — a Mayfield alum — is led by QB Keller Moten (886 yards passing, 742 yards rushing, 21 combined touchdowns).
