Good morning! We're off to a chilly start today with temperaures in the 40s. It'll be pretty cool today, colder tonight, then milder weather returns. Hurricane Milton made landfall yesterday evening near Siesta Key in Florida. It was a Category 3 storm with winds of 120mph. Milton is popping out onto the eastern coast of Florida this morning and will continue to move away from the United States. Overall, it'll be a nice day, but a little cool for even this time of year. Tonight may offer another great opportunity locally. The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued a Severe Geomagnetic Storm Watch for tonight....that's actually pretty rare. Tonight's aurora could be as spectacular as what we had back in May. It'll be chilly tonight with temperatures dropping through the 50s and 40s this evening. Overnight lows will be in the 30...some frost is possible. Protect any sensitive plants. TOMORROW Cold start to the day tomorrow, but the afternoon will be milder....mid 60s with sunshine.
