GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) - Just over six months are left until it is Titletown's turn to host the 2025 NFL Draft. Businesses are preparing amid unknown factors, and local leaders say that the layout around Lambeau Field is one of the most significant elements still up in the air. “Getting some finalizations of where particular things are going to be," Discover Green Bay vice president of marketing and communications Nick Meisner said. "What the layout will look like, where people will enter, that sort of thing.” He explained that because the draft is a free event, estimations for attendance could fluctuate. Based on Detroit's numbers, he is telling local businesses to prepare for at least 250,000. “The tricky thing is for an event where you have to buy a ticket, you typically plan way more in advance than for one that is free. The NFL Draft is a free event, you just have to register on the One Pass App.” The Brown County Parks Department has just under half of its total campsites booked, and is preparing for any amount of fans and precipitation. “We went into that planning stage and looked into every different aspect from overtime to additional electric heater costs and activating the water line," Matt Kriese, Brown County Parks Department director, said. There will be shuttles to and from the fox cities for visitors staying there. EAA’s campgrounds in Oshkosh and the Manitowoc County Expo Fairgrounds will be open during the draft for camping.
