ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) -- Maryland State Police (MSP) arrested a woman for allegedly driving into a man who police believe she was in a relationship with. On Oct. 9, MSP said troopers arrested 50-year-old Simone Stewart, for her involvement in 53-year-old Demeatrum Scarborough's death, who died in the hospital Tuesday. Pedestrian dies after being struck by vehicle in Charlotte Hall On Monday, just before 1 p.m.,. troopers responded to the Spring Valley Drive and Valley Court area in Lexington Park for a report of a pedestrian being hit by a Chevrolet Suburban. There, they found Scarborough who had been hurt. He was flown to the hospital. The investigation revealed that the pair were engaged in an "alleged altercation" before Stewart drove into him. Stewart was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault, homicide by motor vehicle and driving under the influence. The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call (301) 475-8955.
