FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man was hospitalized in critical condition and a suspect is outstanding following a stabbing in Fresno on Wednesday, the Fresno Police Department said. Police say they received a call for a welfare check at Pinedale and Maroa avenues just after 4 p.m. for a man who had blood on his shirt. Upon arrival, officers located a man in his 30s suffering from several stab wounds. He was transported to a local hospital and he was listed in critical condition. Just before 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, police announced the man was in stable condition. Investigators add the suspect is outstanding in this case. This is an ongoing investigation, but updates will be provided as they become available.
