FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Fresno CHP officers are taking to local schools to remind drivers and pedestrians to be cautious around roads. Officers say as part of National Pedestrian Safety Month, they will be making their way to various schools, assisting local crossing guards. CHP says regardless if you are behind the wheel or on the sidewalk, safety begins with awareness and responsibility. They remind residents to always look left-right-left before crossing the road and continue scanning as they make their way across. Officers also remind drivers to always slow down in student pick-up and drop-off zones and near senior living communities.
