MANHATTAN (KSNT) - One person has been shot in Manhattan, the Riley County Police Department ask residents to avoid the area. According to a social media post form RCPD, officers responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Yuma Street. Officers ask residents to avoid the 900 blocks of Yuma Street and Fort Riley Boulevard to work the scene. ‘Suspicious device’ on Ratone Street was identified by RCPD Police believe this shooting was an isolated incident, and there is currently no danger to the public. If you have a child taking part in activities at Douglas Center, police ask that they follow the cones placed on the 900 block of Fort Riley Boulevard for pick-up.
