RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The University of Richmond evacuated students and staff from the Lora Robins Court dorm building due to a gas leak on Wednesday.
According to the university, the cause of the gas leak at Lora Robins Court was an external underground tank that was not connected to the building.
"The gas leak incident outside of Lora Robins Court has been cleared, and students have been notified they may reenter the building," a university spokesperson told 8News in an update shortly after 3:30 p.m. "We appreciate the cooperation and patience of our community, especially all building occupants, as we worked to resolve this issue."
