26acre wildfire in Wisconsin now 100% contained

MOUNTAIN, Wis. (WFRV) - Officials in Wisconsin announced on Wednesday that a wildfire that burned up to 26 acres of land is now 100% contained.
According to a release from the USDA-Forest Service, a wildfire was detected by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on Tuesday just to the east of the town of Mountain in the Bear Paw Semi-Primitive Area of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
Crews from the DNR, the USDA-Forest Service, and local volunteer fire departments responded to the wildfire and started making attempts to suppress it.

Officials say the fire was located in between many rocky outcroppings making it difficult to get a direct line for bulldozoers to set a fireline. They then mention that the decision was made to go indirect with the bulldozers and burn out for a clean control line.
At this time, the fire has burned a total of 26 acres and is now 100% contained. The area is now being managed by the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest - East Zone Fire.
No other information on this incident is available at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
