SOUTH CAROLINA (WSPA) - Since 1869, the South Carolina State Fair has been bringing smiles to residents and visitors with over a week of excitement. The South Carolina State Fair began Wednesday and will last until October 20. Visitors can purchase admission tickets at the gate: General admission, $20 Seniors, 55 and older, $15 (On October 16, seniors can purchase tickets for $5) Children, 5 and younger, get in for free Online ticket purchases are $15 and can be used any one day the fair is open. Tickets for rides can be purchased inside the gate. Tickets are loaded onto a reloadable card and can be used multiple days. Vouchers are also available to purchase. Ride ticket prices: 20 tickets, $10 65 tickets, $30 140 tickets, $60 Weekday voucher, $40 Mondays through Thursdays Weekend voucher, $42 Friday through Sunday Vouchers are exchanged for a "Pay-one-Price" wristband to enjoy unlimited rides. Ride vouchers may also be exchanged for 90 ride tickets. Vouchers can be used any one day the fair is open.
