ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Work was paused at the new Buffalo Bills stadium site this week while the construction company investigated a report that a potential hate symbol was found on the premises. Gilbane | Turner, the company selected to provide construction management services for the project, said it immediately reported the incident to the police, suspended work at the Orchard Park construction site, and launched an investigation "to send a clear message about how seriously we take this matter. We do not tolerate any act of bias or hate." Gilbane | Turner said an initial investigation found that it was not a symbol of hate. Orchard Park police said no criminal activity occurred and that the perceived symbol was not placed in a malicious manner. Additionally, police said they will not be investigating the incident further. A live feed from the construction site did not appear to show any workers on the site as of Wednesday afternoon.
