2 men arrested for attempting to hire hitman in murderforhire scheme: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- One man from Delano and one from Tulare County have been arrested after allegedly attempting to hire a hitman offering thousands of dollars to kill someone, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said.
Officials said the Delano Police Department requested assistance for a murder-for-hire scheme investigation on Oct. 2.

Investigation showed Jordano Sanchez, 34, of Pixley, and Belisario Sanchez, 69, of Delano allegedly offered to pay a hitman from Bakersfield $23,000 to kill a person from Tulare.
Officials with KCSO said the would-be hitman told the victim and reported the incident to the Tulare and Delano police departments.
The sheriff's office said detectives conducted an undercover investigation for more information on the men's scheme. As a result of the investigation, two AK47 rifles, a .22 caliber rifle, two handguns, ammunition and around $20,000 were found.

Both were arrested of suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime and solicitation of murder. Belisario Sanchez was also booked on illegal firearms charges.
Both men are being held without bail and are due in court on Oct. 16.
