BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Pickleball enthusiasts are urged to participate in the second-ever pickleball tournament being held in northwest Bakersfield. North of the River Recreation and Park District’s Pickleball Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 2, starting at 8 a.m. at the Greenacres PicklePlex. The complex is located at 2014 Calloway Drive and organizers say all levels are open to compete. Kason Guyton Trial: Oct. 9 The event has skill-specific pools; 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0+, according to organizers. Teams will compete in pool play matches and the top two teams from each pool will advance to a final bracket. Each entry is $60 and the final day participants can register their teams is Oct. 15.
