Traffic is being held for “rock scaling” as crews remove loose and unstable rock from the mountainous slope bordering the interstate to reduce the risk of rockfalls, CDOT officials said.
I-70 previously shut down for several hours between the same exits for rock scaling on Monday.
Drivers should take alternate routes where possible and expect delays in the area, CDOT officials said.
This is a developing story.
