We are blessed in Summit County with immense natural and human resources, and over the next few weeks, natural beauty will share the spotlight with our creativity and hard work.It all begins on Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. at Bob Wells Plazawith the unveiling of stunning bus wraps that will hit the streets on five city buses immediately after. The brilliant design and striking colors will make these wraps new Park City icons, and you’re cordially invited to share the moment with us, share light refreshments and chat with city and chamber leaders. At the same time, we’re reinforcing the Mountainkind message on gorgeous street banners mounted on light poles along Park City’s main thoroughfares. Anyone out and about this autumn and winter can’t miss the message — and that’s the point. In-market education is critical in setting the expectation that visitors participate in our Mountainkind lifestyle — friendly, respectful, and, above all, active in caring for our delicate environment.  Though it is important we make visitors aware of Mountainkind and its meaning before they arrive, we must strongly reinforce the message once they are here. The eye-catching bus wraps and banners will help drive the message that to be in Park City is to be a Parkite, and to be a Parkite is to be Mountainkind. Then, on Nov. 1, we’re hosting the highly anticipated Tourism Fall Forum at Stein Eriksen Lodge. Some of the world’s most talented and experienced ski industry professionals will gather to preview the winter travel season as well as the broader economy.A glance at the speakers list demonstrates the depth of experience on display that day: the vice presidents of Park City Mountain and Deer Valley, the general manager of Woodward Park City, the president of Ski Utah, the CEO of the Olympic Legacy Foundation and the chair of the Utah Committee for the (2034 Olympic) Games, all led in discussion by well-known local and Olympic communicator Tom Kelly.  Another local treasure, 2024 silver medalist Haley Batten, whose mountain biking career is already legendary, will be there to share her unique experiences with attendees, too.Next, we will shine the spotlight on our chamber partners — more than 1,050 local businesses that shape our spirit and add so much to the joy of living here. I will preview our Mountainkind winter marketing campaign — messages of welcome, warmth, kindness, and sustainable, respectful mountain behavior that prime visitors for a positive Park City experience. Our chamber partners were vital in formulating the Mountainkind concept and helping sharpen it into the dynamic marketing tool it is today. Their input kept us focused on authenticity and communicating our values such as the way we care for each other and the deep connection we feel with the natural beauty that animates our mountain town lifestyle.  We’re proud that Mountainkind represents the essential spirit our partners live every day. We’re thrilled to share the excitement as we move Mountainkind and our winter season into high gear over the next few weeks. The Tourism Fall Forum is always a sellout, so chamber partners, act to reserve your spot today at parkcitychamber.com/events! Jennifer Wesselhoff is the president and CEO of the Park City Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. The post Park City Pulse: Reinforcing Mountainkind appeared first on Park Record.
