LANCASTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The search is on for an escaped dog following an incident at the Jessamine Humane Society on George Wilson Boulevard, where a visitor left a gate open. The shelter reported that several dogs managed to get out, and although most have been recaptured, a male Chihuahua-Jack Russell terrier mix remains at large. Shelter workers are urging anyone who spots the dog to contact the Jessamine Humane Society directly. They hope to safely return the missing canine to the shelter at 859-339-1050, as soon as possible.
