EMBARRASS, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities say one fire department in Waupaca County was recently robbed and had two John Deere riding lawnmowers and other equipment stolen from them. According to a release from the Embarrass Volunteer Fire Department, thieves allegedly cut through a fenced-in area in a park and were able to gain access to a building being used for equipment storage. Officials say the thieves were able to steal a fire department John Deere riding lawnmower, another John Deere riding lawnmower, this one belonging to the Village of Embarrass, an Evinrude 15 HP outboard motor with a 10' gas line, and a 6-gallon steel Evinrude outboard fuel tank off of a Fire Department Rescue Boat, and two DeWalt battery tenders used to charge the riding lawnmowers. Wisconsin deputy shoots woman after razor blade attack; suspect in critical condition Firefighters are asking anyone in the public who may know who stole these items to contact the Waupaca County Sheriff's Office and share what information they know. If you happen to know someone who made a bad life decision and came across some, or all, of these items please contact the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office and share the information. The Embarrass Volunteer Fire Department Officials add that if the person or persons who stole these items return them before the Sheriff's Office is done reviewing security footage from the park and surrounding businesses, then the Fire Dpeartment "will call it square."
