CHARLOTTE, N.C. – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. During the month of October, CMPD’s Domestic Violence Unit is conducting a collection drive to benefit the Safe Alliance Domestic Violence Shelter. This collection drive is an opportunity for our community to show support of the shelter’s dedicated work to counsel, support and uplift survivors of domestic violence in their most critical time of need and leading them to a life of victory and safety from domestic violence. To donate, drop-off any of the urgently needed items listed below to any of CMPD’s 13 patrol division offices or the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) in Uptown (601 E. Trade St). Urgent supplies needed: Unscented body lotion Unscented body soap Shampoo and conditioner (full size) Shaving gel and deodorant Tooth paste and tooth brush
