Wasco man arrested after illegal shooting, resisting arrest: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Wasco man was arrested after allegedly illegally firing a weapon, brandishing a firearm and resisting arrest Tuesday evening, authorities said.
Officials with the Kern County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to the 16000 block of Magnolia Avenue in Buttonwillow at around 5 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a shooting and the brandishing a weapon.

At the scene, deputies contacted a 47-year-old man from Wasco. The man allegedly resisted arrest and delayed deputies. He was ultimately taken into custody.
Sheriff's officials did not say that anyone was struck in the shooting.
The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing unregistered firearms, unlawful discharge, making criminal threats and other related charges.
