South, 52-0 For the record: The winner of this game keeps its foot in the door for a possible piece of the WRC title, while the loser is out of the league race and also takes a hit in the computer ratings/playoff picture. Chardon righted the ship last week against South after being shut down two weeks in a row against Bishop Watterson and Kenston. QB Drayton Allgood ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns in the win over South, while Caleb Hewitt ran for 73 and a score. But the key was Chardon’s defense, which shut out South, paced by Alexander Ash’s team-best eight stops. Mayfield QB A.J. Rogers has eclipsed the 1,000-yard passing mark this season, with Lantz Reed and JD Dinne his favorite targets.
