WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police have released new details after a Virginia man was killed in a shooting in Northeast on Monday. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said around 8:45 p.m. on Oct. 7, officers were called to the 100 block of T Street for a shooting. This is near the McKinley Technology High School. Upon arrival, police officers found a man who had been shot. Man shot, killed near Northeast DC elementary school Medics tried several lifesaving measures, but he died at the scene. Police identified the victim as 29-year-old Taquan Turner, of Alexandria, Va. The investigation is ongoing. MPD encourages anyone with information to call 202-727-9099 or text the department's Tip Line at 50411. The police department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
