ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Wednesday, October 9 is day five of the 2024 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The pilots briefing is scheduled for 6 a.m. During the briefing, pilots and officials meet to discuss the weather and determine if it's safe for the balloons to go up. Poll: Who has the best burrito at the Balloon Fiesta? Officials will raise a green flag, yellow flag or red flag depending on conditions. KRQE News 13 will update with more information after Wednesday's pilot briefing. Mostly light to calm winds are expected through Sunday morning. Temperatures each morning will stay in the mid and lower 50s before climbing into the mid 80s by the afternoon.
