COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH)  –  A man has been arrested after police say he shot another man who was also firing a gun outside of an east Columbus home early Wednesday morning. At approximately 4:03 a.m. police responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 block of East Fulton Street, just east of Downtown, Columbus in the Olde Towne East neighborhood. A few minutes later another call was received about a person shot at the same address. One dead, two injured after hit-and-run on I-270 South in east Columbus Officers arrived and found a man in the rear of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to the hospital in listed in critical condition. WATCH: One critically injured after gunfire exchange in east Columbus One man was arrested from inside the residence. Police at the scene said that the shooter admitted to firing at the man outside, who allegedly entered the backyard and began shooting into the house before the suspect returned fire. Police recovered two guns at the scene. A woman and an unknown number of children were also reportedly inside the residence at the time of the shooting but were uninjured.
