CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Residents who pass near the Clovis Police and Fire headquarters might notice new flag lights showering the place with a pink color. But why is that? The Clovis Police Department announced they have now turned pink in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The pink lights will shower some areas at the entrance of the headquarters with a pink color. The Clovis Police Department, among other 400 law enforcement agencies, participates in the Pink Patch Project every October to benefit Breast Cancer awareness, education, research and treatment. The Police Department says their pink patches are available through the month of October for purchase, and all of the proceeds will benefit the Marjorie E. Radin Breast Cancer Center. For more information to purchase, click here. Clovis Police say their police and fire headquarters will continue to turn pink until Oct. 11.
