SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- The Padres on Tuesday defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the National League Division Series 6-5 at Petco Park. Despite building a 6-1 lead in the second inning, the Padres were able to hold the Dodgers from completing a comeback. Fernando Tatis Jr.'s two-run homerun during that second-inning rout was ultimately the game-winning hit that put them up five runs. The Dodgers came storming back with a grand slam in the next inning to erase the Padres lead to just one run. However, the Padres received strong pitching in the late innings and did not allow another run to the Dodgers. The Padres now lead the best-of-five series 2-1 going into Game 4 which will take place Wednesday at 6:08 p.m. Check back for updates on this developing story.
