Toxins from harmful algal blooms found in drinking water in Cayuga County

Auburn, N.Y. — Low levels of toxins from algal blooms have been found in city of Auburn and town of Owasco drinking water, officials say.The toxin microcystin was found in both of the communities’ public drinking water Tuesday, according to the Cayuga County Health Department. Owasco Lake is the water source for Auburn and Owasco.
