Hurricane Milton is back to category 5 hurricane strength as of 5 PM. This is the strongest Atlantic Basin hurricane this late in the calendar year since Wilma in 2005. The exact track of Hurricane Milton is not a slam dunk, but models are getting closer together. The final track will make a huge difference in where the worst storm surge is. The worst surge will be near and east of the center (meaning south of where landfall is). Landfall will likely be overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Tap here for the latest on Milton. Forecast: Tonight: Clear and cold. Overnight lows fall to 40° in the Mountains. Mid to low to mid 50s for the Piedmont. Wednesday: Increasing clouds. Highs in the mid 70s. Thursday: Sunny. Highs in the low 70s. Friday: Sunny. Highs in the low 70s. Saturday: Sunny. A bit warmer with highs in the upper 70s. Have a great evening! Kaitlin
