CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The Sierra Bicentennial Dog Park in Clovis will close later this month for construction, the city announced Tuesday.
According to the City of Clovis, with the help of grant funding they received, improvements are coming to the Sierra Bicentennial Dog Park off of Sunnyside and Sierra.
The city says there will be an expansion, there will be new benches and a new shade structure.
There will also be a new dog park at Letterman Park on Villa between Bullard and Barstow, as the city says they are currently constructing the new park. The city says the new park will consist of small and big dog park areas, a concrete patio, benches, a trash receptacle and a drinking fountain with a dog bowl.
The Sierra Bicentennial Dog Park will be closed during construction from Oct. 15 to mid-November. The city did not give a specific date on when it would re-open.
