FOSTER, R.I. (WLNE)– A Foster man is transporting two double trailers filled with supplies to help victims of Hurricane Helene after receiving a significant response to his Facebook post asking for donations.  Larry Daniels posted to Facebook Saturday morning asking for water, toilet paper, and everyday items needed to fill one truck and one trailer to help hurricane victims.  Since then, the Facebook post has become a full-scale operation, with Daniels now transporting two trucks and two trailers, helping both people and animals displaced by Hurricane Helene. “Everyone’s been reaching out,” he said, “and I already have a substantial amount of dog and cat food. I’m trying to get some horse food and donkey food, which I’m sure they eat the same stuff.” Daniels said he is currently looking for a box truck due to overwhelming community support. He plans to leave for Tennessee later this week, then to North Carolina. Daniels is still accepting donations, with more information provided on his Facebook.   Categories: News, Rhode Island
