WALWORTH, Wis. (WFRV) - Around 17,000 gallons of water was used to suppress a significant 14-acre fire in southeast Wisconsin on Sunday. According to a release, on Sunday, Oct. 6. 2024, at around 6:00 p.m., Walworth Fire & Rescue responded to a report of a combine on fire in the 600 block of N. Prairieview in Walworth. Police chase down suspect after report of firearm at popular public park The first arriving units found a fully engulfed combine and around 14 acres on fire. Due to the quick response, the fire was contained to only 14 acres. Local farmers also played a critical role in preventing further spread with their equipment. No injuries were reported from the fire, and all nearby property was saved. Crews cleared the scene around one hour and twenty minutes after the call.
