BLACK CREEK, Wis. (WFRV) - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reminding motorists of upcoming traffic impacts associated with the multi-year construction project. The project is on nine miles of Wisconsin Highway 54 between Liberty and Shioction and eight miles of Wisconsin Highway 47 from Burdick St. in Black Creek to the north Outagamie County line in Cicero. Fox Valley man sentenced to federal prison for drug and gun charges Wisconsin Highway 47 will be closed and detoured starting on Oct. 14 to through traffic between County B and Wisconsin Highway 54. This is expected to be a 30-day closure. Officials say that access to businesses and properties in the closed portion of Wisconsin Highway 47 will always remain open, and emergency responders will also have access at all times. Wisconsin Highway 54 will officially reopen to traffic on Wednesday, Oct. 10. The road has been closed since Sept. 9 for milling and resurfacing.
