Traffic stop involving FWPD, FBI leads to federal drug charges for 3 men

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- A traffic stop Tuesday morning led to three men receiving federal drug charges, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD).
Just after 10:00 a.m., detectives conducted traffic stops on two vehicles near the intersection of Lima Road and Coliseum Boulevard that were reportedly committing traffic violations. The traffic stops led to a joint investigation between the FWPD and the FBI.
Officers reportedly found 10 pounds of methamphetamine and a man armed with an AK rifle in one vehicle and a smaller amount of methamphetamine in the other vehicle, according to the FWPD.
Three suspects -- identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Aragon Miguel, 23-year-old Heriberto Martinez Contreras and 28-year-old Saul Martinez Contreras -- were arrested and received a federal charge of possession of methamphetamine.
The three suspects were booked into the Huntington County Jail.
