(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Downtown Colorado Springs will welcome the newest and first Nigerian restaurant in the City on Saturday, Oct. 19. ÓWÀḾBẸ̀ African Restaurant and Lounge will be celebrating its soft opening on Oct. 19 starting at 4 p.m. The soft opening will feature Yemi Mobolade, Mayor of Colorado Springs, and the Colorado Springs Black Chamber as the distinguished guests, who will officially launch and open the restaurant. A spokesperson with the Nigeria Association Colorado Springs said the event promises a remarkable celebration of African and Nigerian culture and cuisine, in addition to also highlighting the Nigerian community and its presence in the region. The restaurant is located at 10 N Sierra Madre St.
