CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte community is invited to gather at 11410 Carolina Place Parkway in Pineville to help pack meals and hygiene kits for a massive disaster relief effort for the High Country. Queen City Audio Video & Appliances is partnering with the non-profit No Child Hungry to pack and send 500,000 meals and 10,000 hygiene kits to Western North Carolina on Saturday, October 12th. Click HERE to volunteer. Helene caused immeasurable damage to the High Country region of North Carolina. The organizations are expecting more than 5,000 volunteers to help pack the meals and hygiene kits. The items will immediately be taken to distribution locations in Burke, Watauga, Avery, and McDowell Counties. Queen City Audio Video & Appliances has launched this effort with financial support and provided the building to host the event. However, these organizations still need your help by volunteering. You can select a shift between 9am – 5pm by clicking HERE. If you aren’t able to volunteer, donations can be made by clicking HERE. All the proceeds will go to No Child Hungry, Inc.
