CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Police have identified the man killed in a shooting in east Charlotte on Saturday, October 5th. Demetrius Allen, 50, and another person was injured in the shooting. It happened around 11 p.m. on Trousdale Drive near Albemarle Road.  When officers arrived, they located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Allen was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic and the other victim was transported with non-life-threatening injuries, CMPD said. Officers are working to learn the relationship between the two victims and are actively searching for a suspect.
