BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Buffalo man was arrested Monday after he allegedly entered a school bus with children on board and assaulted the 72-year-old driver.
Buffalo Police announced multiple charges against Jamieson Lococo, 38, including a felony charge of assault in the second degree.
Lococo was allegedly following his child's bus last Wednesday when the driver pulled over shortly after leaving Southside Elementary because students were misbehaving, according to Buffalo Public Schools. Lococo allegedly entered the bus through the emergency rear door after it was opened by a student and let them off the bus, placing them on the street.
When the driver repeatedly told Lococo he was not allowed on the bus, police allege that Lococo "charged down the aisle, shoving the 72-year-old bus driver causing injuries to her neck, back, and shoulder."

In addition to the assault charge, Lococo was also charged with reckless endangerment of a child and harassment in the second degree.
The students on the bus were either returned to the bus and driven home safely or picked up by a parent, according to the district.
The incident took place near the intersection of Cumberland Avenue and Salem Street in South Buffalo.
"The school also used this as an opportunity to reinforce with our students the dangers of opening doors to a bus," Buffalo Public Schools said in a statement. "The district appreciates the Buffalo Police holding this parent accountable for their actions."
