Man dead after being pinned by tractor in Ascension Parish, deputies say

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man died following an incident on Tuesday morning.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to an accident that took place around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, on Airline Highway at Pond Street in Ascension Parish. Deputies said that a man was found pinned by a tractor.
The sheriff's office stated, "It appears the tractor flipped over on him while cutting grass near a ditch." The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
