NW Bakersfield fire station receives new fire engine

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A Kern County Fire Station in northwest Bakersfield received a new fire engine and replaced one that served the community for 19 years.
Officials with the fire department say Station 66 on Landco Drive received a new engine that provides services for a diverse and critical part of the county.
Firefighters at Station 66 respond to commercial stores, the Kern River, railroads, mixing facilities, chemical storages, oil refineries, hotels and the surrounding neighborhoods.
The new engine is equipped with 'All-Risk' emergency services, according to fire officials.
