Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), Vice President Harris's running mate, is holding a campaign event in the battleground state of Nevada on Tuesday evening. The rally comes just a day after Harris was questioned about her policy agenda and economic plan in an interview airing on CBS News's "60 Minutes." The interview, part of the campaign's media blitz, follows widespread criticism around the Democratic nominee for not sitting for more tough interviews, in particular by former President Trump and his running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio). The Minnesota governor joined Harris during her first high-stakes interview with CNN earlier this year. Walz's trip to the critical swing state is considered a makeup for an event Walz canceled last month due to wildfires in the area. Harris maintains a razor-thin lead over her GOP opponent in the Silver State, garnering 49 percent support to Trump's 47.2 percent, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ's polling index. Walz's remarks from Reno, Nev., are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
