Welcome to The Hill's Business & Economy newsletter {beacon} Business & Economy Business & Economy   The Big Story  Some techies back Khan amid replacement calls  Some supporters of Vice President Harris praised Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chair Lina Khan during a tech-focused fundraiser in San Francisco.  © Greg Nash The “Little Tech for Harris” reception was hosted by Yelp CEO Jeremy Stoppelman, Y Combinator CEO Garry Tan and the CEO of enterprise cloud company Box, Aaron Levie.     Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) headlined the event, during which some tech executives, including Stoppelman, applauded Khan, according to a person who attended the fundraiser.    Khan has pursued an ambitious antitrust agenda, and Stoppelman commended the Biden administration’s efforts on this issue, including those of Jonathan Kanter, the head of the Department of Justice’s antitrust division.    The comments come amid pressure from some Democratic donors to have Harris replace Khan if she wins the White House in November, which progressives have warned would provoke a “furious” response if the FTC loses the administration’s support for antitrust enforcement or axes Khan.    Harris, who previously represented California in the Senate, has ties to the tech community and has raised money at fundraisers featuring venture capitalists, tech billionaires and CEOs.     LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and Barry Diller, the chair and senior executive of IAC and Expedia Group, have both donated to the Harris campaign. Bot have also called on Harris to replace Khan.     Hoffman, a Democratic mega-donor, has gone as far as to accuse Khan of “waging war on American business.”    The Hill’s Filip Timotija has more here.    Welcome to The Hill’s Business & Economy newsletter, we’re Aris Folley and Taylor Giorno — covering the intersection of Wall Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.   Did someone forward you this newsletter?
