41-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Stop Sign Accident near Vollum Boulevard SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 8, 2024) – One man died Late Tuesday evening, in a stop sign crash on West Woodlawn and Vollum Avenue. Police officers responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., on September 24th. For reasons under investigation, the driver of a pickup-truck ran through a stop sign and struck another vehicle in the intersection. The impact caused the second vehicle to overturn, ejecting the driver. First responders found the male victim trapped beneath the pickup. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the 41-year-old man dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity. The other driver involved in the crash did not suffer serious injuries. Responding crews temporarily closed the area for cleanup and investigation.
