ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The Rochester Americans are gearing up for the team's 69th season home opener beginning with a Roc the Block Party on before puck drop on October 11. Opening Night festivities begin with a pregame Roc the Block Party on Broad Street at 4:00 p.m. Activities include a bounce house, face painting and a DJ to provide entertainment with several food options available. Broad Street will be closed and inaccessible from Exchange Boulevard and South Avenue due to the event, so fans are encouraged to arrive early. There will also be an extended Pregame Happy Hour presented by Genesee Brewery before the game where fans 21 or older can enjoy beer and drink specials outside the Block Party as well as Genesee drafts inside the Genesee Brew House at Blue Cross Arena until puck drop at 7:05 p.m. against the Belleville Senators. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Amerks 2024-25 magnet schedule. Tickets for the Home Opener on October 11 start at just $10.
