FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A driver lost control and hit a pedestrian in central Fresno Tuesday morning, according to the Fresno Police Department. Police say the crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on Blackstone Avenue between Gettysburg and Shaw avenues.  The driver also crashed into a fire hydrant. The person was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition, according to police. Police say the driver remained on the scene. It doesn't appear drugs or alcohol were a factor in this crash.
