PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — The City of Providence has announced the new winter supply rate for the Providence Community Electricity Program.
The winter rate for the Providence Standard Supply option is set for 16.28 cents per kilowatt-hour for a period of six months.
That compares to Rhode Island Energy’s supply rate of 16.38 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Current participants in the program don’t need to take any action to remain in it and will automatically be enrolled to receive the new pricing.
The Providence Community Electricity Program launched last year and aims to help residents and businesses manage electricity costs.
