North Kingstown middle school placed on lockdown after noncredible threat

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WLNE) — Davisville Middle School was put on lockdown Monday after a student reported to school officials that another student planned to come to school with a gun, according to North Kingstown School Department Superintendent Kenneth A. Duva.
Police immediately investigated the threat at the school and found the threat was not credible.
No weapon was discovered during the course of their investigation and all students and staff were safe during the lockdown.
After the lockdown was lifted, support staff was made available to all students and staff.
There is no threat to Davisville Middle School or any other school in North Kingstown, according to Duva.
