The video above is footage from the "Help from Hampton Roads" drive aimed to help victims of the most recent hurricanes. NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — With Hurricane Milton expected to make landfall sometime this week, 10 On Your Side is already seeing impacts at Norfolk International Airport as of Tuesday morning. A flight to Tampa was preemptively canceled, and is sure to start a trend of delays and cancellations as the hurricane inches closer to Florida. Airports in Tampa, Orlando and the St. Pete-Clearwater area are set to close on Wednesday. In Norfolk, airport officials sent out a warning on social media, asking passengers to diligently watch their flight status for delays and cancelations. "I'm going back down to Florida a little early because I didn't want to leave my family alone," Alan Driver, of Chesapeake, said. He booked a connecting out of Baltimore to Jacksonville to help his parents get through Milton.Their neighbors are still recovering from Hurricane Helene. Driver said he is confident the flights will not get canceled. "Yeah, so if not, I'll have to rent a car and drive through this thing," Driver said. Lenora Carr is flying to Savannah, but her husband Ronson is going to Florida right now. He is with the Virginia Task Force, heading there to help potential victims. "They need all the help that they need down there, because looking at what happened in North Carolina is devastating," Carr said. "So whatever they can do, that's what they're going to do."
