LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Tuesday everyone! Chilly conditions on the way to begin your Tuesday but we will be warming up into the upper 60s and low 70s for the afternoon. This repetitive pattern is expected continue through the rest of the week. You can expect chilly overnight and morning conditions, followed by pleasant afternoons. Tuesday afternoon will be a few degrees warmer than Monday, and that slight warm-up will continue Wednesday afternoon as well. Wednesday will be the “warmest” day of the workweek with temperatures climbing into the low-to-mid 70s. This is followed by a slight cooldown to the end the week. Thursday will struggle to get out of the upper 60s and low 70s, and Friday morning will likely be the coldest morning of the week with lows in the low 40s in most locations. You can expect a brief warm-up for the weekend though. Saturday we will climb into the upper 70s during the afternoon, followed by an overnight that won’t be nearly as cold the rest of the week. Sunday will be seasonably warm as well but that is ahead of a blast of chilly conditions to start next week. Monday afternoon will struggle to get out of the upper 50s and low 60s as a strong cold front swings through the area. This may provide a stray shower or two late Sunday, but the vast majority of us will likely stay dry. The biggest impact will be the colder temperatures. Monday night and Tuesday morning could feature our first patchy frost chance with lows potentially falling into the 30s across the area.
