INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead at a home on the northeast side early Tuesday morning. According to a news release from IMPD, officers with the department's north district were dispatched to a home in the 5600 block of Wyckfield Way at around 2:04 a.m. on Tuesday on a report of a death investigation. Center Township constable pleads guilty to official misconduct, weapons charge When officers arrived at the home, they located an adult man who reportedly had "injuries consistent with trauma." The man, unidentified by IMPD, was pronounced dead after EMS arrived. The release said that homicide detectives responded to the home to begin the investigation. The Marion County Coroner's Office will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The office will release the name of the man once proper next-of-kin notification is made.
