Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)–A spokesperson for the Richland Co. Sheriff’s Department says a deputy was involved in an accident Tuesday morning. Authorities say the deputy was responding to an emergency call for service at the intersection of Shop Rd. and Atlas Rd. when his patrol car was struck by another car. Officials say the deputy was taken to the hospital and the driver of the other car was okay and remained on the scene. The SC Highway Patrol is investigating.   Categories: Local News, News, Richland
