(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The motorcyclist involved in a crash near Union Boulevard and El Capitan Drive on Wednesday, Sept. 25, later died of his injuries, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). He was identified as 19-year-old Warren Lemmons. According to CSPD, when officers arrived on the scene on Sept. 25, they found that American Medical Response (AMR) and Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) personnel were rendering aid to Lemmons, who was then taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. PREVIOUS COVERAGE: Motorcycle crash leaves one with life-threatening injuries Lemmons died of his injuries on Sunday, Sept. 29, and the next day the coroner conducted an autopsy and identified him. This was the 40th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2024, compared to last year on this date, when there were 37 traffic fatalities. In the past 365 days, there have been 53 traffic fatalities.
